Amore is an Italian company based in India.

The beauty of it is that our special team spans the globe: not only do we have members from the varied states of India and Italy, but we are proud to call people from America, England, Switzerland and most recently Spain (Carles, from Spain, joined our family).

Among our Founders

Alan Heeks – Alan is a social entrepreneur, facilitator and writer with a passion for sustainability in the full sense: human, social, economic and environmental.

Alan has had a successful management career, starting in marketing with Procter and Gamble. In 1985 he co-founded Caradon plc, a major building materials group which grew to become a FTSE 100 company within 10 years. But soon Alan turned his attention towards environmental sustainability and social value based organizations. Since 1990, Alan has been the founder and prime mover in three land-based social enterprises.

From 2000-2003, Alan was non-executive Chairman of Abel & Cole, the UK's largest home delivery supplier of organic produce, and Organic Retailer of the Year 2004.

Alan’s first book, The Natural Advantage, published in 2000, translates the principles of sustainable development and organic growth to the way people and organisations work. He uses organic farming as a model to show how to achieve better results at work whilst renewing one’s potential.

Alan’s present largest project is the Rural Renewal Company, which aims to promote rural renewal and sustainable community through mixed-use developments with eco-housing, social enterprises and community land facilities.

Our Chefs are the real engine of Amore. Costanzo and Asher, young and well motivated, are so similar in terms of passion for gelato, but they are so different in their working style.

Costanzo Malatto – He loves Italian traditional flavours, from Pistachio to Chocolate and regular Sorbet. He is the root of Amore, a treasure of old Italian traditions and recipes. He is an international award winning Gelato chef. And he was the pioneer who started Amore back in 2006, leaving from time to time his tiny well known shop in Italy to set up the first parlour in Bandra, Mumbai. He is in charge of regular daily production.

Asher Berry – He loves innovating and experimenting with new flavours. He is totally similar to a scientist: a little grumpy, short haired, a little overweight and with nice large, thick, black work glasses. But he is an authentic genius. He is a great food expert who has decades of experience in the field of biological lab in Switzerland. He has a full understanding of food, even in terms of molecular composition. And he has a great fantasy only for making up innovative, 100% natural flavour combinations. He is a BIO/Organic authentic lover who is also in charge of the R&D team.

Our Team in India which is actually running the show:

Charan Narang – Our Director, India. But more than this he is one of the real founders of Amore as it is today. He made an incredible act of faith in Amore joining us at the time we were very very small, sacrificing better career prospects with other larger companies. Thanks to his great abilities, he has guided the organization through millions of difficulties, for the proper start-up of our Company and taking Amore to inaugurate 25 stores.

Dilkash Abbas – Our Director Hyderabad. Apart from being one of our Directors, she physically built up our second hub. She left the US to join AMORE 2 years ago. But don’t get enchanted by her sweetness. She is a real business leader despite her joyful sweet smile.

Yasser Ali – He is one of the founders of Amore, who genuinely hosted the office our organization in his tiny apartment for more than one year. He is the growth engine of Amore, Director in charge of Business Development who brings an idea to life. Sometimes he runs too fast for the rest of the organization…

And what about the rest of the Team…? Well.. Nayyer Hussain, our Chairman and other 2 founders are in charge of the company strategy…and we have to mention all our employees. Overall Amore can luckily count on the collaborations and passion of 150 Amore Team members, all members of our family.
