Our story began in 1960, within a small storeroom on the Italian Riveria. With little more than a passion to create great Gelato and the desire to share it with the world, Luigi Panero planted the seed that is growing to be a flourishing chain of Gelaterias worldwide.
Luigi had dedicated the greater part of his life to innovating and improving his craft. His 45 years of commitment to authenticity was recognized in 2006 when the prestigious honour of, “Gelatiere of the Year”, was conferred upon him by the Association of Italian Gelatiere.
It is our privilege to build on Luigi’s values and traditional approach to the art of making Gelato. We take great pride in upholding these standards with each and every batch of gelato that is served.
We do it for the same reason Luigi did it… because we love it!

At AMORE we set goals for more than profit. When we opened in India we chose to invest our lives in creating a business to be proud of, NOT one that was just for financial gain but one that established a values based business model.
We truly believe that every AMORE Gelato can help us build a better world, with more smiles and more love. That’s why we chose AMORE as our brand (AMORE in Italian means LOVE).
A percentage of the proceeds AMORE earns, support charitable organizations and orphanages in India. But we don’t stop at that.
Care for your health and for the future of our environment are our main priorities. Not only do we refuse to use unnatural additives in our Gelato but we work hard to source seasonal, natural and organic products that do not support the use of chemicals in raising crops and livestock. We sustain those growers or farmers who offer fair conditions and salaries to their workers, together with those Organizations committed to help people in need
